Eric Berkley focuses his practice on worker’s compensation, subrogation, personal injury, appellate and general insurance defense work. He regularly represents large employers and insurance companies with strict handling requirements and has handled hundreds of administrative hearings and litigation cases, including first-chairing bench and jury trials.

Eric is a born-and-bred Texan and proud of his small-town roots. He, his wife and son call North Texas home. In his spare time, Eric enjoys creative writing, a skill he also brings into his legal practice. While in law school, Eric completed a semester abroad at University College, Oxford.

  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a non-subscriber employer based on the employee’s untimely filing of a claim under an occupational policy.
  • Obtained a favorable verdict for a carrier in a case involving an employee claiming a work-related injury resulting in surgery.
  • Obtained a jury verdict on behalf of an employer in a case in which an employee claimed an employment-related back injury with surgical recommendations.
  • Successfully obtained affirmance from a Ft. Worth, Texas, Court of Appeals in a case involving reduction of a claimant’s impairment rating and non-eligibility for continuing benefits, resulting in a favorable precedent on adjudication of impairment disputes.
