Daniel McClelland is an associate in the firm’s New Orleans office where his practice primarily consists of representing multinational shipping companies, insurers, corporations, and professionals in matters regarding maritime litigation, professional liability, international law, and general insurance defense. Dan assists in litigating suits that arise out of vessel collisions and allisions, cargo claims, personal injuries, and professional liability allegations. His practice also includes first-party insurance disputes, coverage issues, and property damage claims. Dan regularly assists clients with navigating complex issues and claims under the Jones Act, Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act (LHWCA), GAAP and GAAS, and bad faith statutes.

Prior to joining Galloway, Dan practiced at another firm where he defended numerous clients in both federal and state court ranging from large corporations to individuals in various litigation matters including construction, trucking, medical malpractice, and premises liability.

Dan received his Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University. Following his undergraduate career, Dan received both Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Master’s in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Tulane Law School and Freeman School of Business, respectively.

Dan is admitted to practice in Louisiana and is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association.
