A collaborative approach to the practice of law is essential to success. Desiree Gurule partners with her clients to achieve results that meet their immediate needs while always keeping an eye on their long-term business goals. Desiree continuously evaluates the developing law and facts of a case to modify litigation strategy as promptly as possible when needed, to reduce overall claim exposure and lead the matter toward a successful verdict or settlement.

Desiree has more than ten years of experience in civil litigation and client advocacy. Her practice areas include construction, employment law, defense of governmental entities, litigation, civil rights and constitutional law, and appellate litigation. Desiree has obtained summary judgment in various cases throughout the years, along with many affirmations of summary judgment in both federal and state court.

Born and raised on a cattle ranch in a rural area of northern New Mexico, Desiree moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 2021 with her spouse. She makes time to enjoy her hobbies – knitting and sewing – while also spending valuable quality time with her family and dog.

Representative Matter:

  • Tried a government entity defense claim involving a suit against a county sheriff’s office in which summary judgment on the issue of liability was rewarded to the plaintiff, but the awarded settlement was only around 4.4% of their original request.
