Rick Eisenstat joined the New Orleans office of Galloway Johnson in 2019 and focuses his practice on admiralty and maritime law. Prior to his arrival at Galloway, Rick handled complex multi-party disputes in the areas of environmental and toxic tort liability and insurance defense.  Rick also has extensive experience in the areas of real estate development and land use law and has successfully advocated on behalf of both Fortune 500 companies and small locally owned businesses before numerous state and municipal governing authorities. Prior to beginning his practice, Rick served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Fredericka Homberg Wicker at the Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. 

Rick received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Tulane University in 2005 and is a 2013 graduate of Tulane University Law School, where he served as an editor on the Tulane Environmental Law Journal and as a member of the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic. While in law school, Rick participated in a year-long externship at New Orleans City Hall as an academic legal extern, addressing potential legal issues that could arise from various city initiatives. 

Prior to beginning his legal career, Rick was an officer in the United States Navy, with tours throughout the European and Pacific theaters.
