Taking great pride in fostering strong relationships with her clients, Stormy Mayfield works to protect her clients’ interests, and works diligently to ensure the most beneficial outcome possible. Stormy is an associate in Galloway’s Houston office. She focuses her practice on first-party insurance defense and construction defect claims.

Stormy also has experience in labor and employment and civil litigation. She began her career with a focus on government contract litigation, during which time she assisted minority and women-owned businesses navigate the federal procurement arena.

A native Houstonian, Stormy recently returned home after a four-year stint living as an expatriate in Cairo, Egypt. When not in the office, Stormy enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She also holds a bareboat sailing charter license and is an ASA-certified captain.

Representative Matters

  • Conducted forensic accounting and expenditure tracing to assess risk exposure in a breach of fiduciary duty suit.
  • Represented clients by defending and prosecuting protests of government contract solicitations and awards before the United States Court of Federal Claims, and HUBZone compliance reviews.
  • Successfully litigated several government and civil litigation matters resulting in avoidance of liability and/or significant payments to clients.
