Galloway Secures Significant Victory with Motion to Dismiss in Santa Rosa County

Featured: Autumn P. George

Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith Director Autumn George was granted a Motion to Dismiss for Fraud Upon the Court this month, obtaining a significant victory for our clients. In a seldom granted Motion, Judge Duncan agreed that the Plaintiff’s actions warranted the most severe sanction of dismissal with prejudice. Autumn and her team presented clear, convincing, and admissible evidence that the Plaintiff had lied and engaged in fraudulent behavior concerning her medical history and quality of life claims, which was the central focus of this case.

Autumn credited her colleagues for the exceptional teamwork which led to the momentous decision. Stepping seamlessly into the case, Travis Swanson prepared arguments in anticipation of potential objections. Autumn added, “Kassy Branch’s ability to expose Plaintiff’s inconsistencies through a compelling visual narrative was pivotal during the hearing, leaving what I believe was a lasting impression on the Judge.” Collaboration and communication were the keys to Galloway’s victory in this case.
