Shaping Diversity & Inclusion in the Legal Profession
Galloway is dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusion within the legal profession through active participation in key initiatives that enhance our internal practices and influence the broader legal landscape. We proudly participate in these initiatives, promoting a more inclusive and diverse professional community.
Galloway actively participates in the Mansfield Rule Certification through Diversity Lab. This initiative is a structured certification process designed to ensure all talent at participating law firms and legal departments have a fair and equal opportunity to advance into leadership. Mansfield is focused on broadening the talent pool for consideration, including those historically underrepresented in the legal profession, to facilitate transparent leadership pathways. Galloway is currently fulfilling the rigorous certification process.
In collaboration with the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) and Vault, Galloway contributes to a pivotal database that tracks diversity trends in law firms. This tool is exclusive to the legal sector and is updated yearly with data from over 200 law firms. It aids in-house counsel in monitoring diversity and enables firms like ours to measure our progress relative to our peers.
As a founding partner, Galloway embraces the opportunity to enhance diversity through the NGLCC National Legal Partnership. This initiative allows us to engage with LGBT and allied members, support LGBT businesses, and develop new client relationships through a commitment to diverse recruitment and retention.
Galloway proudly upholds the Diversity Statement of Principles as a signatory of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Diversity Pledge. We also actively support the association’s efforts as a gold-level sponsor of the Minority Job Fair, demonstrating our leadership in fostering diversity within the legal community.
Since its inception in 1993, the TMCP has been instrumental in promoting the talents of minority, women, and LGBT attorneys. Galloway is honored to sponsor this event, which facilitates networking, client development, and continuing legal education for diverse legal professionals in Texas.
