In a major win for our clients, Galloway Johnson Tompkins Burr & Smith has successfully secured a final judgment in our client’s favor for over $3,000,000, with $275,000 awarded in attorneys’ fees and costs for defense counsel.
Director Paula Campione and Special Counsel William Johnson went way above and way beyond in defending a construction client in a lawsuit filed by a historic Miami Beach Hotel. Through their strategic efforts and collaboration, the verdict at trial was in favor of our client’s counter claim, and the final judgement has been amended to include pre and post judgment interest.
Following a fee hearing, $275,000 was awarded to defense counsel by the court. The verdict in our client’s favor was upheld by the Third District Court of Appeal, and the hotel’s petition was dismissed by the Florida Supreme Court.
