Firm director Joe Hassinger has been elected Vice President of the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority – East. Joe was appointed to the Flood Protection Authority’s Board of Commissioners by Governor Bobby Jindal in 2013. At its meeting on June 19, the Board elected Joe to serve as Vice President for the 2014-2015 term. The Flood Protection Authority’s mission is to ensure the physical, operational and financial integrity of the regional flood risk management system, and to work with appropriate local, regional, state and federal agencies and officials to plan, design, construct, operate and maintain projects that will reduce the probability and consequences of flooding in southeast Louisiana.
