St. Louis County Summary Judgment to Distinguish "Ethridge"

Galloway Johnson’s St. Louis office prevailed on a hyper contentious quiet title and reformation matter after five years. Galloway Johnson’s St. Louis client, a national mortgage insurer, won summary judgment and defeated the claims of a property owner that sought to invalidate a mortgage and foreclosure due to the manner in which the owners, a married couple, executed the loan documents. After remand from the Eastern District Court of Appeals, we amended our quiet title action to reform the mortgage in question and prevailed on summary judgment, again, on all claims. St. Louis attorney Anne Kelly not only secured summary judgment on claims for quiet title and reformation, but also successfully defended against two other motions for summary judgment and dozens of affirmative defenses, procedural motions and counterclaims lodged at every conceivable point in the civil procedure.
