Galloway Johnson will be a Gold Sponsor of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s 9th Annual Conclave on Diversity in the Legal Profession. The event will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center and will offer up to 6.0 CLE Credit Hours
This year’s theme is “Diversity and Inclusion: Moving from ‘A Foot in the Door’ to ‘A Voice at the Table’.”
Conclave highlights include:
· Luncheon keynote speaker Roderick A. “Rick” Palmore, a senior counsel at Dentons US in Chicago, IL and a nationally recognized advocate for diversity in the legal industry. He is the author of A Call to Action: Diversity in the Legal Profession, a legal industry manifesto urging general counsel to drive diversity by demanding results in the law firms with which they work as well as in their departments.
· Facilitator Kimberly Papillon, Esq., nationally recognized expert on medical, legal and judicial decision-making. She has served as regular faculty at the National Judicial College since 2005. She has delivered over 200 lectures nationally and internationally on the implications of neuroscience, psychology and implicit association in the analysis of decision-making in the fields of business, medicine, education and the law.
· Three breakout sessions (Immigration, LGBT, and Criminal Law) facilitated by highly credentialed speakers that will provoke discussions regarding the scope and meaning of inclusion, the state of the profession, and the case for a diverse and inclusive legal profession.
