Senate Bill 85 of the Louisiana Legislature’s 2018 Regular Session amends LSA-R.S. 22:41 and 22:1892
Beginning August 1, 2018, amendments to the Louisiana Insurance Code will permit insurers to issue claim payments via an electronic transfer of funds. However, insurers may continue to use checks if they wish and are not required to offer electronic transfers.
