With decades of experience and expertise in maritime law, Kathleen Charvet has been named to New Orleans CityBusiness‘ 2025 Power List: Port & Maritime. The list recognizes influential professionals and leaders in the region’s port and maritime sectors across the Gulf Coast.

Backed by deep knowledge and skills, Kathleen counsels and partners with her clients to quickly and efficiently determine the best strategies for defending their business interests. Collaboration is a key element to her practice for maritime, Longshore, and the Defense Base Act. Kathleen goes way above and way beyond from the Firm’s New Orleans office with her team of experienced maritime attorneys, Heather Angelico and Francis Waguespack.

Kathleen has been recognized by Best Lawyers and rated “Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell. She provides key leadership to the Tulane University School of Law Admiralty Law Institute, recently serving as Chair of the Program Committee, and is a Proctor in the Maritime Law Association of the United States.

Galloway is regionally positioned and readily available to go way above and way beyond for maritime clients, especially in port cities along the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean. Our Emergency Response team provides immediate, result-driven representation in investigation, evidence preservation, claims handling, and legal counsel for maritime casualty.

We join CityBusiness in honoring Kathleen on the 2025 Power List for Port and Maritime.
