Galloway Johnson Tompkins Burr & Smith Directors Autumn George and Katherine Fallas will present at the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) 2026 Annual Meeting in Boston on Tuesday, October 6, at 10:30 AM ET.
Artificial Intelligence, compliance, and ethical implementation remain a hot topic in corporate legal circles. George and Fallas will explore guardrails, governance, and what comes next for in-house lawyers.
In-house lawyers cannot afford to wait for ethical guidance for AI use in legal practice to catch up to the technology. The panel will examine how courts, bar authorities, and professional liability carriers are responding to AI use in legal practice, with a focus on In-house lawyers’ oversight role. Using case studies, ethics opinions, and emerging enforcement trends, participants will explore what ethical duties already apply to AI use; where lawyers and companies have gotten into trouble; what governance frameworks are emerging as best practices; and how to prepare for regulatory changes expected in 2027.

Autumn George manages Galloway’s Jacksonville office with additional offices in Fort Lauderdale and Tampa. Additionally, she chairs Galloway’s technology committee.
Focusing on civil litigation in state and federal courts, Autumn represents businesses in litigation—whether related to negligence, contractual disputes, or general risk management guidance. She also handles claims involving professional negligence, real property and code enforcement, property insurance, landlord-tenant, and condominium associations.
Katherine Fallas
Katherine Fallas is a Director based in Galloway’s Greater New Orleans offices. She currently serves as President of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) Louisiana Chapter.
Katherine focuses her practice on the defense of the transportation industry and general litigation with concise, well-reasoned strategies, detail-oriented approaches, clear and responsive communication, and rigorous investigations into each matter. Her practice has expanded to cyber and technology law, with a particular focus on platform-based and gig economy defense.
