Jason Waguespack has been chosen for the CityBusiness’ Leadership in Law Class of 2011!
New Orleans, LA, February 7, 2011- A selection committee has chosen 50 exceptional attorneys from the greater New Orleans area who have achieved success in their law practice, made contributions to the community and had an impact on the local legal industry.
Honorees will be recognized at an awards cocktail reception on March 22 from 5-7:30 p.m. at the New Orleans Museum of Art. Honorees will also be recognized in the 2011 Leadership in Law publication that will be inserted in the March 29 issue of CityBusiness.
Jason P. Waguespack practices in the areas of admiralty and maritime law, insurance defense and corporate law. He has been admitted to and litigated in federal district courts in Texas, Mississippi, Illinois, Florida and New York, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Second Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Louisiana State, New Orleans and Federal Bar Associations, the Maritime Law Association, the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute, and the Louisiana Bar Foundation. He also served on the Board of Advisers for the Maritime Law Practitioner, a comprehensive monthly journal of developments in maritime law, and is on the Board of Advisors for the Loyola University Maritime Law Journal. He is an adjunct professor of law at Tulane University Law School and the Tulane University A. B. Freeman School of Business. Jason earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University and his Juris Doctor from Tulane University.
