The Mississippi Bar is hosting the 32nd Evelyn Gandy Lecture Series on February 20-22, 2025. This year’s theme is Women Leading the Way, and, as such, the Mississippi Bar will recognize certain female “Trailblazers.”
As the first Hispanic American female admitted to the Mississippi Bar, the Mississippi Bar’s Women in the Profession Section recognized Galloway Johnson Tompkins Burr & Smith’s Director Doris Bobadilla as one of those Trailblazers.
Putting in hard work with humility, without striving to be groundbreaking, is a hallmark of Doris’ achievements. Doris reflects that within her first years with Galloway, former Director Larry Canada encouraged her to sit for the bar examination in Mississippi. “At the time, I had no clue what I was doing was noteworthy or remarkable. Today, I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity to lead,” she said.
Doris maintains a practice across the Gulf South, including Galloway offices in Mandeville, LA, Dallas, TX, Gulfport, MS, and New Orleans, LA. She considers employment law her center of excellence and leads the firm’s employment law practice group.
With a strong belief in mentorship and professional development, Doris guides Galloway attorneys at the start of their practice, offering valuable insights into personal branding and engaging presentations. She frequently shares her knowledge, skills, and expertise through continuing education sessions for clients and legal organizations.
