Florida Attorneys Obtain Complete Defense Verdict in Residential First-Party Case
Edward Krakauer and David Massey obtained a complete defense verdict on behalf of Galloway’s client in a Hurricane Irma residential first-party case.
The plaintiffs claimed both roofing systems at their property needed to be replaced along with resulting interior damages. Eddie and David successfully showed there were no wind damages to the shingle roof based on evidence of normal wear and tear, and successfully showed the interior damages under the flat roof were the result of improper installation or normal wear and tear, even though the flat roof was in place for nine years with no prior signs of water leaks.
Each side had multiple expert witnesses, and, after hearing from both sides, the court ultimately sided with Galloway with a complete defense verdict within 45 minutes. Another great win for our client!
