Galloway attorneys Sarah Baggett, Phillip Howell, and their team in Tampa, Florida, obtained a defense verdict on behalf of a trucking company in a jury trial in St. Lucie County where the trucking company admitted to causing the accident but disputed causation for the plaintiff’s alleged injuries, including traumatic brain injury, and resulting damages.
The plaintiff claimed permanent injury from the accident and asked the jury for $2MM in damages. After a week-long trial, the jury deliberated for only 50 minutes before determining that the plaintiff did not suffer a permanent injury and was awarded no damages for pain and suffering.
