Kimberly Svetlick and Hayden Presley, both in Galloway’s Lafayette office, have been selected as recipients of the 2026 Top Young Lawyers Award by the Louisiana State Bar Association. The annual recognition honors outstanding professional achievements, leadership, and service to the legal community.
Svetlick and Presley were recognized at the Louisiana Young Lawyers Conference on Friday, April 10, 2026, in New Orleans.
This is the fourth year in a row that Galloway attorneys have been recognized as Top Young Lawyers. Additionally, Jared Nelson, Svetlick and Presley’s colleague in Lafayette, serves as LSBA Young Lawyers Division District 3 Representative; Cristy Chazan, who recently joined Galloway in the Firm’s New Orleans office, served as District 2 Representative and will assume Secretary duties for the LSBA YLD in June.
Kimberly Svetlick
Kimberly Svetlick understands her clients’ needs and concerns during difficult and challenging moments. She recognizes and respects her clients’ feelings, working diligently to ensure that they feel heard and valued throughout the legal process.
Svetlick focuses her practice on family law, representing her clients in divorce and dissolution, child custody and support, spousal support, and community property partitions.
In 2025, she was recognized with the Steven James Matt Beyond the Books Award by the Lafayette Bar Association and Foundation, which honors a young lawyer’s dedication to pro bono service and community impact.
Hayden Presley
Hayden Presley is a dedicated litigator who combines thorough legal research and articulate advocacy with clear, responsive client communication. Known for his personable and honest approach, he is committed to guiding clients through complex litigation with clarity and care.
Before returning home to Louisiana, he practiced commercial litigation and federal law in Houston, representing major real estate clients and corporations, and now focuses on workers’ compensation, corporate defense, and general civil litigation.
