Joe Hassinger is privileged to again serve as an adjunct professor at Tulane University School of Law for the Spring 2021 semester. Joe will serve as an instructor in Tulane’s course on Negotiation and Mediation Advocacy. “Effective negotiation and mediation advocacy are essential skills in modern litigation,” Joe explains. “Upwards of 99% of civil cases resolve before trial. And most resolve by mediation. Why? Because with a skilled mediator, the parties can discover and craft the win/win solution, and avoid the costs associated with protracted litigation and the uncertainty of trial. Thus, to effectively represent clients in litigation, a lawyer must master negation and mediation skills. Professor Gabe Feldman and our other adjunct professors are leaders in the field, so I am honored to teach a most important course alongside them.” In addition to being a Director in Galloway’s New Orleans office, Joe is also a principal of the maps mediation firm – www.maps-adr.com.
