Reflecting its decades of experience and expertise, Galloway Johnson Tompkins Burr & Smith obtained a $1.6 million arbitration award on behalf of their clients, a maritime shipping company. New Orleans maritime attorneys Jason Waguespack and Sam Fuller led Galloway’s representation in the matter.
The case involved the breach of an agency contract by an Argentine company, who after receiving money from Galloway’s client, failed to pay sub-agents in Argentina. This resulted in the arrest of two of our client’s vessels there. Waguespack and Fuller delivered pragmatic representation throughout the arbitration process. The Panel issued the Final Award in favor of Galloway’s client, a complete victory in awarding $1.6 million in damages, including attorneys’ fees.
