Featured: Kelsey Bonnaffons

Building on its impressive showing in 2025, the Galloway-sponsored team Aporkalypse Now doubled its fundraising and raised $50,000 for families of children battling pediatric brain cancer through Hogs for the Cause. The Firm has supported Hogs for sixteen years, with team members leading and volunteering as champions of charitable causes.

Hogs for the Cause
Hogs for the Cause is a two-day festival and cook-off in New Orleans, and with over 80 teams, the event raises critical funds for families with children fighting pediatric brain cancer. Hogs works with children’s hospitals, including in cities within Galloway’s footprint, to offer relief through programming and housing.

The 2026 Hogs for the Cause event raised $6.65 million, the most ever in its 18 year history.

Galloway’s Team Aporkalypse Now
Galloway sponsors Aporkalypse Now and the entire Firm supports Hogs fundraising efforts throughout the year. This year, the team doubled its 2025 effort, which at the time was the most ever for the team. Aporkalypse Now is a three-time Hogs Grand Champion.

In the barbeque competition, Galloway’s team placed 11th overall in Grand Champion standings out of 83 teams. They placed 9th in Whole Hog and 9th in Shoulder.

New Orleans Director Kelsey Bonnaffons leads the team. Her Galloway colleagues who volunteered this year include Doris Bobadilla, Rick Duplantier, Andy Waters, Ryan O’Connor, Sanjay Das, Diana Dilday, Sam Fuller, Abigail Hartzog, Tate Martin, and Matthew Sandifer. Retired Director Larry Canada and his family continue to be instrumental in the team’s efforts each year.

Plans for the 2027 Hogs for the Cause is already underway, and Galloway looks forward to continuing its momentum in raising funds for a worthy cause.
