Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith is pleased to announce that Ron Capehart an Associate in its Houston, Texas office, has been invited to join the prestigious Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM).
The CLM is a nonpartisan alliance comprised of thousands of insurance companies, corporations, Corporate Counsel, Litigation and Risk Managers, claims professionals and attorneys. Through education and collaboration the organization’s goals are to create a common interest in the representation by firms of companies, and to promote and further the highest standards of litigation management in pursuit of client defense. Selected attorneys and law firms are extended membership by invitation only based on nominations from CLM Fellows.
Ron counsels clients in trucking, admiralty and maritime, environmental and toxic tort, oil and gas, and insurance and bad faith cases in litigation as well as handling arbitrations and mediations. His knowledge of regulations affecting the industry as well as the operations side of the transportation business gives him the ability to better represent and advise transportation clients from the Courtroom to the Boardroom.
In addition to his litigation practice, Ron provides effective counsel to business clients on corporate structure, formation and modification, and regulatory compliance issues.
Ron has been a volunteer for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo for fifteen years, a non-profit organization that has raised more than $265 million dollars for college scholarships and educational endeavors since 1932. Ron has risen through the ranks in leadership and currently serves as Chairman on the Horse Show Announcers Committee. Ron also serves on the Speakers Committee and routinely speaks to high school students, FFA chapters and 4-H Clubs, in addition to business and civic groups about the HLSR Scholarship programs, the history of the Cowboy and Cattle Industry, and Texas Agriculture.
