Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith is pleased to announce that our Managing Director, Jason Waguespack, has been elected President of The New Orleans Bar Association (NOBA) November 2018 through 2019.
Jason has been an active member of NOBA for over twenty years. In addition to being elected President, Jason currently serves as Chair of the Maritime and International Law Committee, was a past editor of Briefly Speaking, has been a Board member since 2014, and served as Vice President two years ago.
Jason maintains an active law practice based in New Orleans and Houston that focuses primarily on litigation and arbitration related to all aspects of maritime and international law. In addition to maritime and international law, Jason has extensive experience in corporate law and insurance defense, particularly property damage claims. He serves as national counsel to several clients with ongoing international interests, advising them not only on arbitration and litigation matters, but also on transactional matters related to business organization, operation, formation, and acquisition, as well as sales, supply, service, and carriage arrangements.
