On June 26, 2103, GJTBS attorneys Mike Grimley and Ben Zimmern secured a defense verdict for their clients in a multi-million dollar premises liability case pending in Walton County, Florida. The Plaintiff, who had rented a storage unit in a mini-warehouse complex, was paralyzed when he fell into a water retention ditch. The Plaintiff claimed that overgrown vegetation concealed the danger, and that there were no warnings posted to alert him to the concealed danger. Mike and Ben were able to establish that the Plaintiff exceeded the scope of his invitation on the premises and that any danger was open to ordinary observation.
