OVERVIEW
Suzette Marie Smith practices exclusively in the area of family law. With respect, knowledge, and integrity, Suzette counsels her clients and is a strong advocate for them during what, for many, are the most trying times of their lives.
Suzette has 36 years of experience in all facets of family law from pre-filing consultation through appeal, including:

Suzette is a Family Law Specialist certified by the Louisiana Board Of Legal Specialization who has lectured at Loyola Law School, LSU Law, and the New Orleans Bar Association, among others. Suzette has served on the Grandparent Visitation, Disabled Adult Children, Surrogacy, and Tutorship Procedure committees of the Louisiana Law Institute. She served as a member of the Family Law Advisory Commission for Specialization and Chair of the Charter and Second examination committees for the Family Law Advisory Commission of the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization. She is a Louisiana Family Law Super Lawyer and is rated “AV Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell, the directory’s highest possible rating. Suzette is a veteran of five years of honorable service in the United States Navy.
