In a professional liability suit, Lindsay Meador Young and Benjamin Torian, from the Firm’s Lafayette Office successfully defended claims made against an attorney for malpractice in rendering an erroneous title opinion, as well as claims made based on assurances and guarantees stemming from that erroneous title opinion. Galloway Johnson isolated the error allegedly made by the attorney while examining the title and related any subsequent acts by the attorney back to that alleged error, opening the door for a dismissal of all claims via an exception from preemption.
