Galloway’s Stephen Eckholdt, a Director in the Firm’s Mandeville and New Orleans offices, has been named a finalist for the 2026 Frank L. Maraist Award. Presented annually by the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the award recognizes young attorneys who demonstrate the highest level of excellence in litigation, the defense bar, professional service, and community outreach. LADC will present the award on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

This recognition is a testament to the incredible support of Galloway and my mentors, who exemplify leadership through integrity, service, and a commitment to excellence,” Eckholdt said. He added, “I am grateful to be able to the contribute to our clients at our firm and to contribute to the defense bar and our community alongside exceptional peers and members in the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.”
Eckholdt obtained both his J.D. and undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University. His practice at Galloway focuses on trucking and transportation defense, premises liability, personal injury defense, and insurance coverage. Eckholdt has represented local, regional, and national clients through early case assessment, alternative dispute resolution, trial, and appeal. Clients value his understanding of case facts, targeted investigations, and tailored case themes that lead to resolution.
