J. Michael Grimley, Jr., Director, has extensive experience practicing in the areas of insurance casualty defense and coverage, general maritime law, including personal injury defense and cargo, automotive and trucking litigation, environmental law, including remediation claims and multi-party toxic tort, and employers liability. Mike began his practice in the firm’s New Orleans office in 1990 and became a Director in the firm in 1998. He moved to the firm’s Pensacola, Florida office (118 E. Garden Street, Pensacola, Florida) in 2003 and now handles cases throughout the State of Florida and in Southern Alabama.
Mike has spoken at continuing education seminars sponsored by Lorman Education Services, Sterling Education Services and certain insurers on a variety of topics, including maritime law, construction litigation, employment claims, mediation and arbitration, trial strategies and ethics. He also conducts loss control and claims investigation seminars for a variety of firm clients. Mike currently serves as the Past President of the Bay Area Propeller Club. Mike is admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts in Louisiana (admitted 1990) and Florida (admitted 2003), and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
