An article entitled “Tacit Ratification: A Title Attorney’s Best Friend,” authored by Natalie Tarnosky, an attorney in Galloway Johnson’s Lafayette, Louisiana office, was recently published by the American Bar Association in their Title Insurance Litigation Newsletter.
Natalie’s article addresses how title attorneys are aided by the legal theory of tacit ratification, which allows a third party to become obligated under a contract to which he was not a party, through either his conduct or statements or both.
