On June 18, 2015, Galloway Johnson Director Joe Hassinger was elected President of the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority-East (SLFPA-E). The SFLPA-E sets policy and provides oversight to levee operations in East Jefferson, St. Bernard Parish, and the entire east bank of New Orleans
The SLFPA-E Board of Commissioners elected Joe Hassinger to serve as President for a one year term effective July 1, 2015. Mr. Hassinger was appointed in October 2013. He serves on the SLFPA-E board as an at-large member residing in Orleans Parish and formerly served as Chairman of the Non-Flood Asset Protection Management Authority Board.
