Governor John Bel Edwards has reappointed New Orleans director Joe Hassinger to the Flood Protection Authority. Joe has been a commissioner since 2013, and currently serves as president of the Authority. The Flood Protection Authority is the government entity responsible for the management and operation of the system of flood control structures that protects southeast Louisiana from hurricanes and storm events.
