Scott Mueller obtains trial verdict in favor of title insurance company

Scott Mueller, from Galloway, Johnson’s St. Louis office, obtained a jury verdict in favor of a title insurance company on July 10, 2013 in Jefferson County, Missouri. The plaintiffs purchased 100 acres of property in Knox County, Missouri, and alleged fraud against the title company and their realtor for allegedly concealing the existence of an easement, even though the title company incorporated the easement into the legal description on the commitment, policy and deed. The co-defendant complicated the client’s case by alleging that the title company’s alleged misrepresentation or failure was the true cause of loss. The jury found in favor of the Firm’s client.
