Galloway attorneys Sarah Baggett and Lara Breslow received a successful verdict in a recent trial in Charlotte County.
The trial involved a cast iron pipe/trenching case, and the jury decided in our client’s favor – that there was no direct physical loss. The jury deliberated for nearly eight hours. During that time, the jury twice indicated that it was deadlocked, forcing the judge to issue the “nuclear” jury deadlock instruction. Fortunately, the jury resolved its deadlock after that instruction and returned a complete defense verdict in our client’s favor.
