Doris Bobadilla Selected for CityBusiness Leadership in Law 2026

Galloway Johnson Tompkins Burr & Smith Director Doris Bobadilla has been selected by New Orleans CityBusiness for its 2026 Leadership in Law class. The honor recognizes legal excellence and community outreach in the New Orleans region. Bobadilla and her fellow honorees will be recognized at a reception on October 5 and in the October 15th issue of CityBusiness.

“Receiving the New Orleans CityBusiness Leadership in Law award is a humbling recognition of the impactful work our team has done in partnering with employers to address the practical challenges of a changing workforce across the Gulf Coast and here in New Orleans,” Bobadilla commented. She added, “Over three decades, I have grown as a person and as an attorney, and I am especially grateful to the mentors and colleagues who have trusted me and have fueled my energy for advocacy. I remain inspired to pay it forward by mentoring future leaders at Galloway and in our legal community.”

Doris Bobadilla

With 30 years of experience, Doris Bobadilla leads the Firm’s employment law practice group, has blazed trails in the legal profession, and provides valuable mentorship to the next generation of lawyers. Her work has had a direct impact on employers and the legal community in New Orleans, where she advises businesses on navigating complex workplace challenges.

Bobadilla has cultivated a thriving employment law practice that partners with local and regional employers, including those based in New Orleans across industries such as construction, healthcare, and retail. She is licensed in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Florida, and Alabama, defining herself as a Gulf Coast lawyer while maintaining a strong presence in the New Orleans business community. Bobadilla embodies the regional reach of Galloway as one of the few employment practitioners serving employers seamlessly across the Gulf Coast.

Bobadilla is the first Hispanic woman on record admitted to practice law in Mississippi, and was honored in 2025 as a Trailblazer by the Mississippi Bar Women in the Profession Section. With a strong belief in professional development, she guides Galloway attorneys at the start of their practice and has mentored dozens of attorneys, many of whom practice in New Orleans and the surrounding region. Through her leadership, Bobadilla continues to raise the level of practice for Firm attorneys, employers, insurers, and claims professionals.

Clients value her case evaluation, either before or after trial, that positions them for resolution and helps mitigate risk for employers and their workforce. Bobadilla’s practice includes litigation, ADA compliance, EEOC charge responses, wrongful termination, and discrimination claims. She is a trusted advisor beyond the courtroom and is regularly called upon to independently evaluate litigation strategy, educate clients, and prevent future claims.

Through her leadership in building a multi-state employment law practice, her role as a trailblazer in the profession, her mentorship of attorneys, and her ongoing contributions to New Orleans employers and organizations, Doris Bobadilla has earned her place in the New Orleans CityBusiness Leadership in Law 2026 class.
