Michael Grimley Presenting at Construction Risk Conference in San Diego

Featured: Mike Grimley

J. Michael “Mike” Grimley, a Director in our Pensacola office, will present at the International Risk Management Institute, Inc. Construction Risk Conference on October 29 in San Diego, California. The CRC offers education, networking, and business opportunities, making it an essential event for those managing or insuring construction risk.

Mike will offer his expertise and experience on Insurance Strategy and Claim Adjudication for Construction Near Waterways. Contractors working over or near waterways may have additional liabilities for worker injuries beyond traditional workers compensation benefits. His presentation will dive deep into the applicability or interplay of marine general liability, workers compensation, and federal laws such as the US Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and the Jones Act.

Mike has more than 30 years of experience in representing insurance companies, corporations, business entities, and individuals in a wide variety of litigation.  He has learned that the best way to partner with his clients so they can achieve their business goals is through a proactive approach that involves developing an early case assessment through focused discovery, targeted motion practice, and timely dispute resolution, and if the case can not be resolved favorably, then through an aggressive defense at trial.

Recognizing that businesses in the construction industry face distinct challenges and strict regulations, our accomplished construction litigation defense attorneys maintain the specific knowledge and experience in construction litigation, negotiation, and resolution necessary for complex construction defect disputes.  Galloway’s litigation defense construction attorneys are dedicated to timely resolutions of disputes, whether they involve government or private properties, including hotels, schools, port facilities, government buildings, medical offices, condominiums, and residential properties.

On the jobsite and through all stages of the legal process, our litigation defense construction attorneys go way above and way beyond in construction litigation.
