Cristy K. Chazan is a civil litigator based in New Orleans who represents businesses and insurers in premises liability, professional liability, and insurance defense matters. She is a strategic thinker who stays calm under pressure, communicates clearly, and develops practical approaches to pursue favorable results for her clients.
Prior to joining Galloway, Cristy practiced criminal defense where she handled trials, hearings, motion practice, and negotiations with prosecutors. That courtroom experience informs her perspective as a litigator and shapes how she evaluates cases and anticipates how issues may unfold at trial.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Cristy has called New Orleans home since college. She stays active in the legal community, currently serving in leadership positions with the Young Lawyers Division of both the Jefferson Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association. Outside of her practice, Cristy enjoys traveling, cooking, doing the New York Times crossword, and spending time with her husband and their dog.
