Shefa Moten keeps an open line of communication with all of her clients. Her approach is to include them in the direction and trajectory of the case from start to finish and partner with each of her clients to achieve every goal and objective. Shefa strives to make otherwise contentious and complex disputes easy to understand for all of her clients.
Shefa’s work is divided between general civil litigation, medical malpractice, premise liability, personal injury, and insurance defense. She has represented employers in litigation with OSHA following fatality or catastrophic loss events. Her personal injury experience includes a number of premise liability claims for some of the largest grocery chains in Texas. Her clients also include trucking companies, contractors and apartment complexes.
Raised in Houston, Shefa enjoys exploring the city’s unique restaurants with her friends and family. She also enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, yoga, and swimming.
Representative Matters:
- Represented a large chain of grocery stores in several major personal injury matters and obtained favorable results for all.
- Successfully represented and defended physicians and dentists against complaints by the Texas Medical Board and the Texas Dental Board alleging violations in standard of care and billing violations.
- Court has granted Summary Judgment in various slip-and-fall cases at grocery stores.
