Practices

Retail & Restaurant

Retail and restaurant law includes a full array of liability issues, such as premises liability, dram shop litigation, false arrest and excessive force claims, food-borne illness litigation, inadequate security, third-party criminal acts, products liability, Americans with Disabilities Act, worker’s compensation, indemnity agreements and others.

We serve on the Charter Board of Directors of the National Retail and Restaurant Defense Association (NRRDA), www.nrrda.org, an organization formed to advance and protect the interests of the retail and restaurant industries by developing strategies to reduce the number and severity of claims, manage common risks and enhance our defense position in litigated matters.  NRRDA’s national membership includes corporate counsel, industry representatives, and insurance representatives who focus on retail and restaurant litigation.

In addition to defending clients in the retail and restaurant industries, we devote considerable time, talent and treasure to providing industry members with risk management strategies and information to help minimize risk.  Our work includes seminars to businesses and their insurers, white papers on various topics important to the industry, webinars and case notes.
