ABOUT

James

An avid student of the law who prides himself on his ability to assimilate and implement complex materials quickly, James “Drew” Morock always places his client’s needs first. His goal with every client is simple and clear: find the winning argument and get results. For Drew, this means staying engaged with clients throughout the entire process while cognizant of transitions, changes, and innovations within the industry and the practice area.

Drew focuses his practice on insurance defense, construction, and trucking & transportation. He enjoys navigating the complexities of law within his practice and draws on his experience working on various major class actions (related to disability rights under the ADA, manufacturing defects with fertility clinic freezers that failed, and products liability claims against Monsanto and Bayer for Roundup, among others), litigating rights afforded to trade secrets under the federal Defend Trade Secrets Act, and representing investors who were victims of securities fraud both in FINRA arbitrations and in court.  He has also served as an advocate for the Blind Vendors of Louisiana in federal arbitration.  In addition, Drew has been licensed in and practicing commercial real estate sales and leasing for 20 years, with focus on apartment complexes, hotels, strip malls, warehouses, and other investment property.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Drew attended Jesuit High School. He has been the treasurer and now the lead organizer for St. Baldrick’s Day at Finn McCool’s, having raised over a million dollars in the past decade to support pediatric cancer research – raising money specifically dedicated to grants that have gone to Tulane, Ochsner, and Children’s Hospital of New Orleans to impact the local youth. In his free time, he enjoys learning and practicing foreign languages, and he is no stranger to the gym or to the yoga studio.
