Joshua Dierker strives always to be the most prepared and knowledgeable advocate in the room. Josh focuses on first-party property, insurance defense, insurance coverage disputes, construction litigation, and general liability defense. He also defends insurers in first-party property and hurricane claims in both state and federal court. Josh approaches all aspects of litigation with the goal of quickly and effectively achieving the best possible outcome for his clients.
Josh is a native of the Northshore and a lifelong resident of Louisiana. Outside of his law practice, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife Jessica and their three children, Ellis, Emmitt, and Evelyn.

- After denial by the district court, obtained dismissal on appeal of a plaintiff’s contractual claims for damages based on the terms of the insurance policy and limited extension of the applicable prescriptive period due to COVID-19.
- Via a 12(b)(6) motion, obtained dismissal of a plaintiff’s claims of negligent spoliation of evidence against a first-party insurance carrier.
- Obtained a favorable judgment from the U.S. Fifth Circuit on behalf of an insurance carrier regarding the application of the “Damage To Your Product” Exclusion.
