Andy Waters, a maritime and insurance defense attorney in Galloway’s New Orleans office, has been named a finalist for the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel 2024 Frank L. Maraist Award. This prestigious award recognizes young lawyers who have outstanding achievements in their practice and have made significant contributions to the legal profession, the defense bar, and the community. It will be presented at an awards dinner on August 2, 2024.
Reflecting on this honor, Andy commented, “This nomination is incredibly meaningful because it is awarded by some of the most talented, hard-working, and professional attorneys in the country. To be recognized by this group for any degree of excellence is a true honor. I credit my mentors at Galloway for their significant work in developing my skills and their tireless commitment to delivering excellent client services.”
A graduate of Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business and Tulane Law, Andy represents multinational shipping companies and their insurers in commercial and personal injury litigation in both blue- and brown-water matters. Additionally, his practice includes general insurance coverage and defense.
Andy has previously been recognized with the Tulane 34 Award, which is presented to 34 Tulane University graduates who have distinguished themselves with exemplary leadership and academic excellence, and by New Orleans Magazine as one of the best lawyers in admiralty and maritime law.
Galloway joins Andy’s colleagues in the New Orleans office in congratulating him on this outstanding recognition of his contributions and leadership within the Firm and in the legal profession.
